пройдут у них на этой неделе. 

"Математический институт им. С.М. Никольского РУДН сообщает об ОТКРЫТЫХ
ЛЕКЦИЯХ профессора Hitoshi Ishii (Waseda University, Tokyo):

Лекция 1. Вторник, 16 апреля, 13:00, ауд. 398.
"The vanishing discount problem for Hamilton-Jacobi equations".

Abstract: I discuss the recent development concerning the vanishing
discount problem for Hamilton-Jacobi equations. The crucial tool in the
development is the use of Mather measures or their generalizations from
Aubry-Mather theory for Hamiltonian dynamical systems. I describe a way of
constructing Mather measures and an approach to the vanishing discount
problem.

"Asymptotic problems for the Langevin equation with variable friction".

Abstract: I discuss some recent results on two asymptotic problems for the
Langevin equation with variable friction coefficient. The first one is the
small mass asymptotic behavior, known as the Smoluchowski-Kramers
approximation, of the Langevin equation with strictly positive variable
friction. The second one concerns the limiting behavior of the solution
when the friction vanishes in regions of the domain. The results
generalize previous works due to Freidlin-Hu and Freidlin-Hu-Wentzell. The
talk is based on joint work with P. E. Souganidis (University of Chicago)
and H. V. Tran (University of Wisconsin-Madison).

"The Dirichlet problem for truncated Laplacians".

Abstract: I discuss the Dirichlet problem for truncated Laplacians on a
bounded convex domain of N-dimensional Euclidean space. The talk is
concerned with a necessary and sufficient condition (Theorem 1) in terms
of the flatness of the domain for the existence of a solution for a
general inhomogeneous term. The result is applied to the solvability of
the Dirichlet problem and the existence of principal eigenfunctions for
the truncated Laplacians with lower order term when the domain is strictly
convex. The talk is based on joint work with I. Birindelli and G. Galise
